Critical Professional Development Toolkit
The Critical Professional Development Framework is designed to provide candidate support programs (CSPs) with guidance on creating meaningful professional development experiences for candidates that challenge and equip them to pivot their instructional practices in ways that encourage inclusivity and equity in classrooms.
Affinity Space Toolkit
This toolkit supports the creation of affinity spaces for National Board certification candidates, especially educators of color, to foster connection, collaboration, and belonging. By deepening understanding of inclusive practices, affinity spaces help candidates navigate certification more effectively and positively impact their school communities.
Program Implementation Playbook
This implementation playbook provides teams with guidance, explanation, and templates to refine program goals and structure based on the work completed through the Margins to Center program.
This toolkit is intended to support the initial planning of events for candidates, stakeholders, and external partners. It includes questions Candidate Support Programs can use to guide their planning process.
Based on learnings from and observations of the Margins to Center’s twelve project partners, the Budgeting Roadmap digs into several program elements along the journey of supporting teachers pursuing National Board certification – from starting up a program to program evaluation. As a framework for estimating costs and developing a budget, this guide provides an overview of each program element’s purpose and its likely associated expenses.
