The American Institutes for Research® (AIR) is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that conducts behavioral and social science research and delivers technical assistance to solve some of the most urgent challenges in the U.S. and around the world.

Work completed: Conducted a quasi-experimental design (QED) study to examine the effect of M2C on teacher and student outcomes. Impact evaluation answered four research questions:

    1. What is the impact of M2C on the classroom practices of TOCs?
    2. What is the impact of M2C on the retention of TOCs in the teaching profession and high-need schools?
    3. What is the impact of M2C on students’ perceptions of social and emotional competencies and the learning environment, including inclusivity and safety?
    4. What is the impact of M2C on student achievement in mathematics and English language arts (ELA) in Grades 4 and 5?
